Learn transferable skills for constructing clothing on your own. (Recommended: prior experience following patterns, or the Patterns 101 course) We'll learn about and practice constructing the following common elements found in clothing: gathers and pleats darts zippers linings and facings buttonholes and plackets sleeve types and insertion Several of these concepts are also found outside of clothing, so we'll also review how they might be used in bags, home decor, etc. While this course isn't designed to actually construct a garment, you are welcome to add more weeks to the course if you have a specific project you wish to work through with guidance. Learning materials are provided in your fee. All ages are welcome in this private course. Learn with a friend for $279.
