About the Confident Beginner 2 Course:
Confident Beginner 2 builds on the basics, introducing you to these foundational concepts:
- zig-zags and adjusting stitch width
- how to finish raw edges: edgestitching, basic hem/casings, and french seams
- how to gather
- understanding fabric selvage, grain, bias and direction
- using an iron as you sew
- using a sewing gauge
Follow up your instruction with the Advanced Beginner 3 course, or start with Basic Beginner 1. These courses are giftable, or choose to begin your own lifelong love of sewing!
The SIY Club Courses are recommended for ages 9-adult. Supervision is suggested for children.
