Course description:
Finally, get started on your sewing journey! With confidence in a few basic concepts you can learn to sew anything.
 
Confident Beginner 2 builds on the basics, introducing you to these foundational concepts:
zig-zags and adjusting stitch width
how to finish raw edges: edgestitching, basic hem/casings, and french seams
how to gather
understanding fabric selvage, grain, bias and direction
using an iron as you sew
using a sewing gauge
 
Classroom Basic includes:
A single school log-in to access the videos for 12 months.
A physical manual for each student (starting at six).
A Required Materials Supply List schools may share with families, so students can complete the practice exercises and projects in the course.
Not included: sewing machine, thread, sewing tools, practice materials, project materials, individual student log-in for videos.

Classroom Premium** includes a Confident Beginner 2 FULL course kit for each student: 
This is a physical kit which contains all materials for working through the course: A detailed instruction manual with full-color photos and glossary of basic terms; fabric swatches for 5 "Practice It" exercises; all materials to create one Fabric Flower Magnet, and a Drawstring Knapsack; BONUS sewing tools (measuring gauge, fabric clips, tailors chalk, seam ripper). Plus, get unlimited access to online videos that correspond to the manual! Students only need to supply the sewing machine and thread.
Not included: sewing machine, thread, school-owned video log-in.
